People are the heart of Tecnosoft: Alberto Zancanato

Today we introduce Alberto Zancanato, R&D Manager at Tecnosoft, who shares his professional journey, his experience leading the R&D team, the challenges and opportunities of his role, and what gives him the greatest satisfaction in his everyday work.

How long have you been working at Tecnosoft and what do you do?
I have been working at Tecnosoft since January 2024 and I am responsible for the R&D team. My role is to ensure the company’s technological competitiveness over the medium and long term.

What does a typical day look like for you as Head of R&D?
There is no real typical day. Mornings are usually dedicated to team coordination, updates, and analysing the data needed to define project priorities. In the afternoon, I focus on monitoring projects, solving critical issues, evaluating new development requests, planning next steps, and supporting customers with technical challenges.

What part of your job gives you the most satisfaction?
Seeing our products appreciated by the market is a great satisfaction, but what motivates me the most is seeing the daily commitment of a talented and determined team, always ready to give their best.

What has been the most interesting challenge you have faces at Tecnosoft?
The biggest challenge has been managing and motivating the team. My goal is to bring out each person’s maximum potential by creating the right environment where everyone can contribute with their skills, ideas, and creativity.

What makes Tecnosoft's R&D approach unique?
Tecnosoft’s long history has created valuable know-how, and the R&D team plays a key role in preserving and developing this knowledge. Our strength is based on a structured approach to sharing information and making expertise accessible across the company.

How would you describe the team you work with every day?
The R&D team is a mix of different experiences, backgrounds, and perspectives, enriched by the contribution of freelancers, thesis students, and interns. Managing this “melting pot” is challenging, but it creates a dynamic environment where innovative ideas and solutions can grow.

If you had to descrive your job in three words, which ones would you choose?
A difficult question: Listen, Plan, Support.
