Perople are the heart of Tecnosoft: Marco

Today we're introducing Marco, Sales Account at Tecnosoft. Every day, Marco works closely with customers to identify the right monitoring and validation solutions, combining technical expertise with a customer-focused approach across a wide range of industries. In this interview, he shares what motivates him, the challenges he has faced, and what makes every day different.

How long have you been working at Tecnosoft and what do you do?

I've been with Tecnosoft for four years, working in sales with a focus on the Italian pharmaceutical market and developing international markets, including the Far East.

What gives you the greatest satisfaction?

Seeing long-term partnerships grow, especially with our distributors, and achieving shared goals together

How important is listening to customers?

Customer interaction is a given in my role, but beyond listening and understanding, I believe empathy is what truly makes the difference. Putting yourself in the customer's shoes is essential, especially when working internationally. It requires curiosity, an open mind, and the willingness to see things from different perspectives. To me, these are the qualities that lead to lasting results.

What topics come up most often?

Every meeting is different. With distributors, discussions usually focus on business goals and the competitiveness of our solutions. With end customers, conversations typically start from a specific challenge they need to solve. Across all industries, there's a growing demand for real-time monitoring to enable quick action whenever issues arise.

What has been your most interesting challenge?

My most memorable challenge at Tecnosoft was my first business trip to Southeast Asia. Although it wasn't my first trip abroad, it felt like a leap into the unknown, with constant travel, daily meetings, and high expectations. Looking back, I still remember the mix of nerves and excitement, and I see that experience as a real turning point in my professional growth.

What qualities matter most in this role?

Curiosity, patience, a methodical approach, and self-awareness. As a former colleague used to say: "Good things take time."

How do you recharge outside of work?

Running and spending time outdoors. Since my job is mostly sedentary, it's the best way for me to relieve stress, recharge, and stay active.
