People are the heart of Tecnosoft: Lorenzo

Today we introduce Lorenzo, R&D Technician, who shares his journey at Tecnosoft, his experience in developing new solutions, and what it means to transform ideas into real products through innovation, technical expertise, and continuous learning. From mechanical design to the development of new loggers and systems, he tells us about the challenges, achievements, and passion behind his work.

How long have you been working at Tecnosoft and what do you do?

I have been working at Tecnosoft since October 2018. I work in the R&D department, where I am mainly involved in the development of new loggers (mechanical aspects), accessories, testing, maintenance, and other related activities.

What was the first major responsability you were given?

The first important project I was assigned was the automation of the marking process for our loggers.

What has it been like growing professionally within the same company since your first work experience?

Thanks to the support and guidance of Dr. Rossi, over these years I have been able to learn several skills that I did not have before. My professional growth has been challenging, but at the same time very stimulating.

What aspect of your job are you most passionate about?

The most exciting part of my job is being able to follow the development of a product from the design phase all the way through to the final implementation.

Is there a project or technical solution that you are particularly proud of?

One thing I am especially proud of is successfully completing the automatic marking machine project, as well as designing mechanical parts for both our loggers and the various systems used within the company.

Which skills do you think you have developed the most over there years?

The skills I have developed the most are definitely problem-solving abilities, meaning that I have built a method to approach and solve different situations I may encounter, as well as a deeper knowledge of the technical field, practical experience with machinery and the use of design and engineering software.

Is there an activity outside of work that helps you disconnect and recharge?

Sometimes I go play airsoft on Sundays. Spending time laughing and joking with others helps me switch off and recharge.
